Medical Biller (2 Positions Available)
Location: Wilmington, MA
Type: Full-Time
Overview: As a Medical Biller at TJB Consulting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the practices we support. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of medical billing, from claim submission to payment posting and account reconciliation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers, enhancing their revenue cycle management processes.
Responsibilities:

Submit medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.

Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.

Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes.

Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts.

Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.

Answer patient and insurance inquiries regarding billed services.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding preferred.

1-2 years of experience in medical billing or within the healthcare industry.

Proficiency in EHR systems and billing software.

Senior Medical Biller (1 Position Available)
Location: Wilmington, MA
Type: Full-Time
Overview: The Senior Medical Biller is a leadership role within TJB Consulting, responsible for overseeing the billing department's operations and ensuring maximum efficiency and revenue optimization. This position involves managing billing processes, mentoring team members, and developing strategies to improve the billing cycle.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the medical billing team to ensure compliance with all billing policies and regulations.

Perform quality control checks to maintain accuracy in billing and coding.

Resolve complex billing issues and assist in the escalation process.

Develop and implement billing procedures to reduce denials and improve cash flow.

Train and mentor billing staff on current billing software, practices, and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of billing processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

5+ years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) certification preferred.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of billing software, EHR systems, and healthcare regulations.
